Our Aircraft are in Greece to Extinguish the Flames

Within the framework of humanitarian aid, two AT-802 FireBoss amphibious firefighting aircraft, each with a 3-ton water capacity, and one T70 Sikorsky firefighting helicopter with a 2.5-ton water capacity, belonging to our General Directorate of Forestry, have been sent to respond the forest fires hat are continuing effectively in the Attica region of Greece and approaching Athens.

On August 13, 2024, at sunrise, our aircraft, along with a seven-member flight crew, took off and arrived at Athens International Venizelos Airport, where they immediately began firefighting operations.

We wish ease to our colleagues who are working with the motto “Forests are the common heritage of the world."
