The "Forest Foods and Inclusive Partnerships for a Stronger Bioeconomy" Workshop, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), was held in İzmir.
Hosted by FAO Türkiye, the workshop focused on the sustainable management of forest foods, increasing the added value of non-wood forest products, supporting rural development, promoting the bioeconomy, and strengthening public-private sector cooperation. During the event, the General Directorate of Forestry delivered a presentation entitled "Forest Management for Food and Trade."
Bringing together national and international participants, the workshop also addressed the sustainable utilization of forest-based products, the strengthening of value chains, and the development of market opportunities.
